The guide may receive referral compensation if you lease through an introduction. It is independent of Lore and its management.
Before the tour
- Write down your move window, preferred layout and monthly cost ceiling. Keep your financial documents for the property’s official application process.
- Ask whether you can see the exact apartment and its route to parking, elevators and exits.
- If you want to use a resident referral, ask the leasing office when and how it must be recorded.
Before signing
- Request a complete cost sheet: base rent, required recurring charges, utilities, parking and one-time costs.
- Ask for renewal, early termination and notice requirements in the lease.
- Ask how to submit routine maintenance requests and how urgent issues are handled outside office hours.
- Confirm any features or accommodations you need directly with management.
Before moving day
- Confirm loading access, any elevator reservation process, moving hours and insurance requirements for movers.
- Get the key handoff, utility activation and internet setup steps.
- Document the apartment’s condition with dated photos and follow the property’s process for reporting existing issues.
Keep these together
Save your signed lease, move-in checklist, cost sheet, maintenance contact information and any written referral acknowledgment in one place. A saved referral email helps document the introduction, but does not establish eligibility by itself.
